Diani Beach—repeatedly voted the best beach destination in Africa—has long held a special place in the hearts of Mr. and Mrs. Kamau. Seeking peace and tranquility after retiring from their fast-paced careers in Nairobi, the couple fell in love with Diani’s serene coastal charm.
In 2006, they built their first beachfront home. However, as their family grew, they needed a larger sanctuary. In 2011, they acquired a spacious new property and began constructing what is now Golden Duranta Villas.
Originally designed as private vacation homes for their children and grandchildren, the villas quickly gained a reputation among visiting friends. Before long, word of mouth spread, turning these homely self-catering villas into a welcoming retreat for travelers from across the globe.
