Colosseum Fitness Centre Founder Coach Andre Leenheer, 57, started his Muay Thai training at the young age of 12. Training in an era of Muay Thai legends, old school boxing gyms, and often fatal bouts – the Coach has over four decades of experience, and runs the top Muay Thai training facility, and one of the best gyms, in the country.

His journey has been neither easy nor predictable; in 2000 Coach Andre took the ultimate leap of faith. He left his family’s cheese-making business in Holland, after running it for over 25 years, and moved to Kenya to pursue his passion for fitness, martial arts and healthy living.

The Colosseum Gym had its humble origins in a small room in Adams Arcade. Since then, the gym has grown into a thriving business; Colosseum and Andre have become synonymous with high-quality, transformative training.
