Lofty Safari is an individual tour operator who offers tailor-made private trips for both exceptional personal requirements as well as group – or club Tours around Kenya, Tanzania & Uganda. Lofty Safari was founded in 1978 by Mahendra Solanki, is known as „Lofty”. As an young entrepreneur, it was then his wish to pass on his joy of happy travel, in an authentic way and to fulfill all his guests unique Safari Dreams. Over the years, we have specialized in historic car models from the 1970s. Kenya was already a favorite safari Destination in the 1970s, 80s and 90s.

Toyota Land Cruiser HJ 55
Our pride is our original Toyota Landcruiser HJ 55, built in 1973. The vehicle was rebuilt in the 70s and has a structure of real teak wood. At that time, the Land Cruise was still used by the big game hunters in Tsavo East and the surrounding area.
It can accommodate a maximum of 6 people.
Toyota Land Cruiser HJ 60
The Toyota Landcruiser HJ60 is a little younger in 1992. Since then, it has always been on safaris in many parts of Africa.
