Seasons Mara Sun Lodge, the fourth hotel built by our late CEO Daniel Taleng’o Kiptunen, opened its doors in May 2013. The idea was to get a locally owned establishment that was pocket friendly, and where guests could experience one of the modern wonders of the world – the Wildebeest Migration.
The hotel sits on one end of the Oloololo Escarpment, which is home to the so-called Oloololo and Sausage Tree lion Prides. As the name suggests, the hotel’s vantage point at the top of the hill, makes for spectacular sunsets. It has 32 rooms and space for out of town meetings that last more than a day. You can see a wide array of wildlife from the binoculars on the outdoor balcony dining area.
