Brigida Morello Girls’ Secondary School in Machakos (B.M.G) stands for academic excellence and character formation based on the love of God; with a view to train citizens for remarkable all-round development and sincere commitment to God and country.

To educate our students to be spiritually oriented, morally upright, socially concerned and intellectually well informed persons. We are located at Katani near Mlolongo, behind Jomo Kenyata International Airport.

OUR HISTORY.
Blessed Brigida Morello of Jesus, the founders of the Ursuline sisters of Mary Immaculate, was born on 17th June 1610, at Rapallo, Italy. Both her parents came from noble families, noted for their religious and civic spirit. They instilled in her profound sense of God. From her childhood she loved to contemplate Christ crucified.

Blessed Brigida was an exemplary, charismatic, courageous and God oriented woman. She was aware of the discrimination against women and the plight of young girls, who were denied of formal education. She decided to open a boarding school for girls. She founded the congregation “Ursulines of Mary Immaculate in the year 1649 to give Christian education to the youth. She promoted the dignity of women and educating them to be conscious of their dignity, guiding them to live a life of Christian virtues.

The Ursuline sisters today follow the footsteps of their founders. They are engaged in educating the young specially girls, uplifting the exploited, reaching out to the less privileged economically deprived, the sick and the old.

To ensure a conducive environment for our students, we have planted trees and made flower gardens all around the school to give the ambiance the students need to feel comfortable and ready to learn
