The College was started as Thika College Of Banking & Accountancy and was the brainchild of a former banker of longstanding who felt that there existed a gap in the financial training and the country, and hence decided to start an institution that would satisfy this thirst for knowledge.

Thika College Of Banking & Accountancy is a medium sized college which was established way back in 1997 and registered under the business names act in the same year. It opened its doors for the first batch of students in January 1998.

Many of our graduates over the years are very senior people in the banking, Saccos, hotel and hospitality, and very many other sectors in the economy.

It was initially to cater for Banking, Accounts, and computer students, but the demand of the market made the college management diversify to other courses like Catering and Hotel Management, Sales and Marketing, Business Management and Information Technology.
