Sunset Hotel Kisumu opened its doors on 26th November 1977 and was designed to the standards of the day, transformed to be the modest gray stoned – yellow stucco complex building.
Sunset Hotel Kisumu is currently owned by the government through Kenya Tourist Development Corporation (KTDC) amongst the other units the same corporation runs. The ownership is held jointly with the Municipal Council of Kisumu.
