Meet Caroline Kinya Mbaya. She is a published author who dabbles in both Fiction and Non-fiction works.
In her debut short-story collection, Back-Fence Talk and Other Vices, Caroline weaves together stories about generational trauma, financial debauchery, love and betrayal, and transposition. The stories in this collection have been feted at various literary competitions. The story “The Six O’clock Train” was shortlisted for the Wasafiri Prize 2012; “Epistles” was long-listed for the Fish Prize 2013/2014; “An African Proverb” was long-listed in the 2015 Short Fiction Journal Prize; “Saint Kizito” was selected as the Editors Choice and published in Quill & Ink Anthology, Aestas.
