Kuona Artists Collective – An artist community located in the green leafy suburbs of Nairobi where artistic ambiance is in abundance. Open:10am – 6pm. The artist community continues to celebrate Kuona Trust! Founded in 1995, the Trust has been dedicated to the generation, presentation and promotion of innovative contemporary visual arts practice in Kenya.

Its artists’ studios, library, programme of exhibitions, artists’ talks, workshops and mentoring and international residencies have been instrumental in developing new and experimental contemporary art. Owing to the recent turn of events within the Kuona Trust administration, change has been more than necessary. In this light, we are pleased to announce the start of a new beginning, the Kuona Artists Collective.

In its new model, the collective continues to borrow from the Kuona legacy in the support, collaboration and creation of groundbreaking work within the visual arts. We admit that much still needs to be done but we remain confident that the new entity opens up new opportunities and possibilities. Moreover, we welcome collaborations and support in charting new pathways for the Collective.

To mark the close of 2017 and launch of the Kuona Artist Collective, we welcome you to a clearance art sale on Satruday 16th 2017. Artworks will range from as low as Ksh. 1,000 – 50,000.
