Hob House is owned and run by myself – Kelly, and my husband Peter. ‘Hob’ directly translates to “Love” from Arabic, and sets the stage for a space of tranquil peace and serenity. We both wanted to create a place for our guests that is inviting, warm and safe.
Over the years we have both travelled in many countries and stayed in many hotels and local entities that have not been of a good standard or alternatively have been 5 star carbon copy hotels.
The idea for Hob House was borne out of a joint frustration to have something for travellers that was not a hotel feel but still catered to the needs of travellers and business people. Mindful of the needs of our clientele Hob House was created.
Our idea of creating a space where we can welcome guests to a warm gueshouse in Kitisuru, elegant and safe family environment but still cater to the needs of the business community has been paramount in the way we have set up Hob House.
This is an on-going labour of love for both of us and as it evolves, we welcome you to participate in and share our dream space and at the same time we will try make every effort during your travels in East Africa to make your stay a memorable one. Karibu Sana (welcome)! We look forward to meeting you and sharing our place with you.
