The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu (AKH-K) is part of Aga Khan Health Service, Kenya an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network.
It is a not-for-profit, private health care institution, established in 1952, that is committed to providing affordable, high-quality services in a safe and friendly environment. The expansion of the The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu (AKH-K) began in 2021, with a planned total cost of Ksh 1.4 billion (US$13.5m).
The hospital has now been transformed from a 70-bed acute care facility into a 116-bed secondary to tertiary hospital, equipped to provide advanced clinical programs in cardiology, oncology, neurosciences, and critical care.
We also offer neo-natal critical care and maternal and child health care. The hospital’s facilities include relevant diagnostics, integrated operating rooms, and a sophisticated accident and emergency department.
Additionally, the expansion project includes the implementation of new elements in cardiology and cancer programs, as well as the establishment of 10 new Outreach Health Centers (OHCs).
