SOS Children’s Villages in Kenya is a member of SOS – Kinderdorf International, the world’s largest private child welfare organisation.
SOS Children’s Villages Kenya is the world’s largest non-governmental organisation focused on supporting children
without parental care and families at risk.
Our target group is referred to us by children’s courts, government departments, police stations, credible community organisations, hospitals, and members of the public. In all cases, a thorough and transparent admission process is followed to ensure that the most meriting cases are admitted and that we comply with our policies and statutory obligations. Once accepted into an SOS Children’s Village, a child is offered a new beginning full of love, security and possibilities. Our children are cared for by qualified and trained caregivers who provide the emotional, psychological and nutritional needs for all our children. We work in the spirit of the United Nations Convention on the rights of the child , The UN Guidelines for the Alternative Care of children and Guidelines for Alternative Care of children and Guidelines for Alternative family care of children in Kenya as we promote these rights as well as laws and policies supported by the Kenyan Government.
