Pwani Oil Products – In 1981, three minds came together to build what is Kenya’s most iconic manufacturer of edible oil and fats company.

Pwani Oil Products Ltd or fondly known as “Pwani.”Ramesh Kanji Malde together with his brothers, Anil and Naresh Malde, began production of coconut oil in Mombasa. The operations expanded at the Jomvu factory with corn and sunflower manufacturing before settling for palm oil refining in 1985–a site which we are still located at till today.

Today, our modern state of the art factory at Jomvu, Mombasa, has expanded and has a capacity to refine over 620 metric tonnes of oil a day, prepared to the highest international standards. Adding to this, our new production facility at Kikambala has impacted the washing and cleaning industry with excellent laundry and bathing soaps, which is to the highest quality.

Pwani Oil is now one of the largest manufacturers of high quality edible vegetable oils and fats, laundry and toilet soaps in the African continent. Pwani is a modern consumer led business based in Mombasa, Kenya; set in the coastal region against the warm shores of the Indian Ocean.
