The Kenya Medical Training College Meru (KMTC) is a State Corporation established through an Act of Parliament under the Ministry of Health, entrusted with the role of training various disciplines in the health sector to serve the Kenyan interests, East Africa and beyond. The College has 72 Campuses strategically located in various parts of the country. The Graduates of the College account for more than 85% of the local middle level workforce in the health facilities in Kenya.

Governance
The College operates as a Semi-Autonomous Government Agency (SAGA) under a Board of Directors, headed by a Chairperson, whose role is to provide overall leadership and direction of the College as well as oversight on all Management operations. The Board has appointed a Chief Executive Officer, who is charged with day to day running of the College.
