St. Catherine Girls High School Machakos is a girls boarding school offering the 8 – 4 – 4 System of education including computer studies.

Location
The school is located 12km from Machakos town, along Machakos Kitui Road or 79km from Nairobi. The road is all tarmac. St.Catherine Girls High School sits on a ten-acre piece of land and is 500 metres off the main road. The surroundings are quiet, away from shops or public buildings making it an ideal environment for uninterrupted learning.

Our Mission
The school aims at grooming the girls to grow up to be courageous and confident ready to face the challenges of life,to yearn for knowledge so that they can excel in academic and other endeavours and to be a shining example wherever they will be. This is depicted in the school motto: “A LIGHT FOR SOCIETY”.

For efficient delivery of Education some of the staff are housed within the school compound. The teaching staff consists of experienced graduate teachers who are committed to good performance.

K.C.S.E Mean Grade for the class of 2012/ 2013 was C+ (Plus). For the 2015 K.C.S.E, the girls got an impressive mean score of 8.169 (B-). They always strive to improve in their performance.
